ADVISORY BOARD
MEMBERS: Seattle Milk Fund
is seeking to add a couple of people to our
advisory board. Qualified applicants
will have business, finance, education or
social services experience. The
Advisory Board meets quarterly to advise the
Seattle Milk Fund on marketing, finance and
other topics.
JOIN SEATTLE
MILK FUND: Seattle Milk Fund is
unique among Seattle non-profits as it is
comprised of over 380 volunteer
members. Each member belongs
to a circle.
The active circles meet monthly to work on a
variety of fundraising or volunteer
activities. Each circle sends
representatives to an all city governor
meeting, the Board of Trustees, which meets
monthly. Dues are just $30 per year or
lifetime for $300. For more
information about joining a circle or
starting a new circle, please contact the VP
of Membership through the Seattle Milk Fund
Office.

OFFICE
VOLUNTEERS: In order to keep the Seattle Milk Fund
running professionally during especially
busy times and maintain our ability to have
just 1 staff person, we are seeking
volunteers for the following tasks. Please
review the list below and call the office at

Shoe Voucher Volunteer
Skill Requirements: Excel and data
entry, legible hand writing Task:
Process shoe voucher applications
that come into the office via fax
and mail. Hours: Any 2-4 hour time block
during our office hours. Prefer
volunteers that can commit to
regular times each week or month.
Copy Room Manager
Skill Requirements: General, Ability
to learn to use multifunction
copier, no computer skills required
Task: Maintain the copy/work room by
unpacking supplies and maintaining
inventory with Office Manager
Hours: Any 2 hour time block during
office hours on a monthly basis.
Education and Childcare Application
Volunteer
Skill Requirements: Photocopies,
Excel, General Computer Skills.
Task: Copy Applications as they
arrive, confirm receipt of
applications, enter applicant and
recipient information in database,
distribute materials to childcare
and education committee members.
Hours: 2 hour blocks scheduled at
the end and beginning of academic
quarter.
Office Assistant
Skill Requirements: Phone, people
friendly Task: Provide phone coverage during
busy times and assist with light
filing. Hours: Any 2-4 hours time slot.
Prefer volunteers that can commit to
regular times each week or month
(i.e., Every 3rd Monday
from 9-11AM)
Data Entry Volunteer
Skill Requirements: MS Access, High
level of skill and accuracy with
computers Task: Check information imported
into new database, enter additional
information as needed. Hours: Any
Newsletter Mailing Volunteer
Skill Requirements: General
Task: Fold, seal and mail newsletter
at a work party Hours: Scheduled time each
newsletter cycle |
