Beginning Fall 2007, students that are
attending college while receiving a
childcare and/or education grant from SMF
are eligible to receive other support
services from SMF without a separate
referral or additional paperwork.
At this time these services include:
1 Shoe Voucher per year for each child
in your household between the ages of 1
and 18.
Household and Personal supplies from our
supply room up to 1 time per month
(laundry detergent, toothpaste,
pine-sol, soaps etc)
Diapers or pull-ups and baby wipes 1
time per month for each child that needs
them.
1 $25 Safeway card to help offset the
cost of food for your family, up to 1
time per month, if food cards are
currently available.
Car seats- Convertible and Booster car
seats for children in need a seat.
In Washington State the new laws require
the use of a booster seat until 4’9”
tall or 8 years of age.
New Towels and other household items as
available. We occasionally have beds,
dressers, living room furniture etc. If
you are in need of something along those
lines, call the office and see if we
might have it!
Please contact the SMF office for
information or if you are in need of
assistance.
Childcare Family Get-Together
Students
who are receiving our Childcare Grants
are invited to attend quarterly family
potlucks at the Seattle Milk Fund
office. The dates for 2008 are
Wednesday February 13th, Wednesday April
30th and Wednesday June 25th at 6PM at
the SMF Office. A light
dinner will be served. Families
are encouraged to bring a favorite dish
or salad to share if they are able to do
so. Please call the
office for more details.
Student Surveys
We
need all of our students to commit to
filling out surveys at the beginning,
middle and end of when they receive
grant assistance from SMF.
New Student Survey for both Childcare
and Education students- complete
ASAP if you have never completed it
before or within the first 4 weeks of
receiving your grant if you are a new
student.
