Seattle Milk Fund seeks part-time
talented and
energetic Administrative Assistant.
Daily Responsibilities:
-Open,
sort and distribute mail.
-Copy and total checks, prepare deposit
slip.
-Assist in answering phones and
voicemail. Cover the office during the
lunch hour.
-Enter donor and client information into
dataset.
-Fold and mail gift acknowledgment
letters. Organize and prepare other
large mailings, packets and copy jobs.
-Filing.
-Order and sort office supplies. Assist
in organization of office and storage
areas
-Assist in cleaning and maintaining the
kitchen and light housekeeping as
required.
Other Responsibilities as Needed:
-Process
Shoe Vouchers. Assist in processing food
vouchers and other client services.
-Fill orders for family supply
bags/diapers from Case Investigator
requests.
-Banking when the Office Manager is out
of the office, with assistance from
volunteers.
-Assist with Accounts Payable.
-Help proofread publications and website
copy.
-Provide data entry and keyboarding as
needed to support Office Manager.
-Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
-High
School graduate and 6 months of office
and customer service experience,
preferably in a non-profit setting.
-Demonstrated ability to work
effectively with a diverse population.
-Educational or work experience with MS
Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
Type 30 words a minute and able to use a
10-key.
-Able to use fax, networked
copier/printer, multi-line phones.
Web-research skills.
-Friendly and professional in-person and
phone manner.
-Able to sit at computer, walk up and
down a flight of stairs, lift 40 pounds
of supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Interest
in non-profit administration or social
services.
-1-2 years of college level coursework.
-FrontPage familiarity.
-QuickBooks, Peachtree or equivalent
financial software experience helpful
but will train the right person.
$9-12/hr
DOE, 20 hours a week M-Th between the
hours of 9AM and 4PM. Enjoy
Fridays off!
